What is body contouring with assisted technology?

Body contouring with assisted technology is an evolution of traditional liposuction that combines surgical precision with advanced energy platforms such as BodyTite, Morpheus8, and Ignite RF. These technologies allow for more efficient removal of localized fat while simultaneously stimulating skin tightening, significantly improving firmness and skin quality.

Unlike conventional liposuction, which focuses solely on fat removal, this comprehensive approach also addresses skin laxity, delivering more uniform and harmonious results. Thanks to thermal control and radiofrequency energy, the procedure can be safely performed in delicate or hard-to-treat areas, with less tissue trauma and a smoother recovery.

Dr. César López customizes the selection of devices and techniques to each patient's specific needs, achieving more defined, natural, and long-lasting contours. This treatment is especially effective in redefining areas such as:

  • Chin and neck
  • Abdomen and waist
  • Arms
  • Lower back
  • Inner and outer thighs
  • Hips and flanks
  • Bra line

Is this procedure right for you?

This treatment is ideal for individuals in good overall health, with a relatively stable weight and localized fat deposits that don’t improve with diet or exercise. It’s also an excellent option for those seeking more refined definition without resorting to more invasive traditional surgical techniques.

You may be a good candidate if you

  • You are in good general health
  • You have a healthy lifestyle
  • You have good skin elasticity
  • You have realistic expectations

This procedure is not recommended for

  • Individuals with generalized obesity or unstable weight
  • Patients with uncontrolled cardiovascular, respiratory, or metabolic conditions
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women
  • People with recent surgery in the treatment area
  • Individuals with bleeding or clotting disorders

What is the difference between BodyTite, Morpheus8, and Ignite RF?

BodyTite and Ignite RF use radiofrequency to simultaneously melt fat and tighten the skin, while Morpheus8 combines microneedling with thermal energy to improve firmness, texture, and tone from deeper layers of the skin. Dr. López may use one or more technologies depending on your specific needs.

How long do the results from radiofrequency-assisted body contouring last?

Results are long-lasting as long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle. Fat removal is permanent, and skin tightening continues to improve over the first 3 to 6 months. Natural aging will continue, but with better structural support in the treated skin.

Is body contouring with these technologies painful?

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia with sedation, so you won’t feel pain during surgery. In the days that follow, you may experience mild sensitivity, swelling, or tightness, which is easily managed with proper postoperative care.

When can I return to exercise after body contouring?

It’s recommended to avoid intense physical activity for the first 3 to 4 weeks. However, walking from day one helps reduce swelling and supports recovery. Dr. López will let you know when it’s safe to resume your normal routines based on your progress.
